Grove City 3rd after 1st day of PAC Championships

WHEELING, W. Va. -- The Grove City College men's golf team is in third place after the first day of competition at the two-day Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships at Spiedel Golf Course at Oglebay Park.

The Wolverines accumulated 343 team strokes, trailing Washington and Jefferson (320) and Westminster (321). Thiel is fourth with 344 while Waynesburg sits fifth at 348. 

Sophomore Jon Cameron (Solon, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) fired an 83 on the Arnold Palmer-designed course, placing him in a tie for 10th place in the field. The participants will play 18 more holes Friday. Each team's four best scores will count in the team competition.
