Grove City 2nd at Waynesburg
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed second at the Waynesburg Invitational Thursday afternoon at Greene County Country Club. The Wolverines accumulated 332 team strokes, trailing only host Waynesburg (327). Thiel (341) and Bethany (371) rounded out the four-team field.
Sophomore Tyler Fitch (Peoria, Ill./Peoria Christian) led Grove City with a second-place finish overall. Fitch carded a 76 on the par-72 course. Freshman Jacob Morrison (Georgetown, Texas/Leander) tied for third with a 77.
Thiel's Lucas Munson earned medalist honors with a 70.
Grove City will compete in the Gannon Invitational Monday afternoon in Erie.
