Wolverines open 2008 season
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team opened the 2008 spring season Saturday by placing sixth out of eight teams in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at Greene County Country Club. Grove City compiled a team score of 352. Defending conference champion Washington & Jefferson won the team title with 318 strokes.
Senior Tyler Fitch (Peoria, Ill./Peoria Christian) led Grove City with a 10th-place finish. Fitch shot an 82. W&J's Marc Fillari earned medalist with a 76.
Grove City will compete in the John Carroll Invitational Saturday.
