Wolverines 4th at Thiel; Demmer takes 2nd

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed fourth at the Thiel Invitational Monday afternoon at The Greens of Greenville. The Wolverines accumulated 341 team strokes on the afternoon. NAIA member Notre Dame (Ohio) won the team title with a 316. Waynesburg (338) took second and Westminster (340) edged Grove City for third.

Freshman Troy Demmer (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) led Grove City with a 75, good for second place. Classmate Matt Landin (Sugar Grove, Pa./Eisenhower) placed fifth with a 78. Notre Dame's Tony Pinzone shot a 74 to earn medalist.

The Wolverines are idle until they host the annual McBride-Behringer-Allen "MBA" Invitational next Monday, April 14, at Grove City Country Club.
