Grove City 7th at Saint Vincent
LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed seventh out of 14 teams Thursday afternoon at the Saint Vincent Invitational, held at Latrobe Country Club. Grove City accumulated a team score of 325 on the par-72 course to place seventh. Saint Vincent's "Gold" team won the team title with a 288 while Division II West Liberty took second at 305.
Sophomore Ian Finney (Valencia, Pa./Mars) led Grove City by carding an 80, good for 19th place overall and sophomore Kyle Wilson (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) tied for 24th with an 81. Freshman Blake Brogan (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) and senior Jae Minor (Wickliffe, Ohio/Cornerstone Christian) each shot 82 to tie for 30th.
Saint Vincent's Steve Fiori shot a 67 to earn medalist honors.
Grove City returns to action Saturday at the Thiel College Invitational in Greenville, Pa.
