Wolverines take 2nd at Saint Vincent
LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team competed in Saint Vincent College's Doug Rogers Memorial Thursday afternoon at Latrobe Country Club. The Grove City Crimson team placed second in the 12-team field with a team score of 323 and the Grove City White Team finished 11th at 361. Washington & Jefferson won the team title with a 312.
Junior Ian Finney (Valencia, Pa./Mars) led the Wolverines by finishing fourth overall with a 78. Freshman Conor Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg) took eighth with an 80. Saint Vincent's Steve Fiori won the individual title with a 72.
Grove City will compete in the Thiel Invitational Saturday in Greenville, Pa.
