Wolverines wrap up 2011 season

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team concluded the 2011 season Monday afternoon by placing third out of six teams at the College's McBride-Behringer-Allen "MBA" Invitational at Grove City Country Club. Grove City posted a team score of 320. Point Park won the team title with a 312 and Westminster took second at 317.

Freshman Conor Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg) and senior Troy Demmer (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) each shot 79, good for sixth place. Westminster's David Mlinarich earned medalist honors with a 72.

The event is named in honor of three gentlemen who have made a profound impact on Grove City College and its golf program: longtime trustee Milford "Miff" McBride, former golf coach and director of athletics R. Jack Behringer and longtime Grove City golf coach Bill Allen.
