Grove City takes 5th at Malone

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed fifth out of seven teams at the two-day Malone University Tannehauf Invitational at Tannehauf Golf Course by accumulating a team score of 645. Malone won the team title with a score of 575. Huntington took second at 589.

Freshman Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) led Grove City by tying for 17th overall with a score of 79-77 165. Freshman Seth Johnston (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) took 20th by shooting 80-80 160.

Malone's Jay Hollifield earned medalist with a 70-71 141.

Grove City will compete in the Saint Vincent Invitational Thursday in Latrobe, Pa.
