Wolverines take 6th at Muskingum

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed sixth out of 10 teams Saturday at the two-day Muskingum University Invitational at EagleSticks Golf Club. The Wolverines finished the event with a team score of 613. Denison won the team championship with a 36-hole score of 596, followed by Adrian at 598.

Sophomore Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) led Grove City's effort by tying for fourth overall with a 146. Sophomore Christian Locher (Mars, Pa./Mars) took eighth with a 147. Locher shot a 71 Saturday, the second-lowest round of the day.

Denison's Aaron Klimchuk earned medalist with a 142.

Grove City returns to action Friday by competing in the Siena Heights Invitational in Jackson, Mich.
