Grove City takes 3rd at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team captured third place at the eight-team Saint Vincent College Doug Rogers Memorial Tournament Thursday afternoon at Arnold Palmer's Latrobe Country Club. The Wolverines posted a team score of 336, trailing only Saint Vincent (315) and Carnegie Mellon (322).

Sophomore Christian Locher (Mars, Pa./Mars) led the Wolverines by tying for seventh with an 81. Sophomore Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) took ninth with an 82.

Saint Vincent's Derek Lingafelt earned medalist with a 76.

Grove City will make its final preparations for next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships by competing in the Thiel College Invitational Saturday in Greenville.
