Grove City wins MBA Invitational

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team captured the team title at the Wolverines' season-ending McBride-Behringer-Allen "MBA" Invitational Monday afternoon at Grove City Country Club. The Wolverines finished with a 310 team score. Westminster took second at 340 and Slippery Rock placed third at 346.

Sophomore Christian Locher (Mars, Pa./Mars) earned medalist with a 73 while senior Blake Brogan (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) took second with a 74. Senior Matt Litton (Chantilly, Va./Chantilly) carded a 77, good for third place.

The event is named in honor of three gentlemen who have made a profound impact on Grove City College and its golf program: longtime trustee Milford "Miff" McBride, former golf coach and director of athletics R. Jack Behringer and longtime Grove City golf coach Bill Allen.
