Grove City takes 2nd
TYRONE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team placed second out of 11 teams Monday at the Penn State Altoona Invitational, held at Sinking Valley Country Club. The Wolverines finished with a team score of 317. Penn State Behrend won the team title with a 312.
Junior Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) led Grove City by taking third overall with a 77. Junior Christian Locher (Mars, Pa./Mars) and senior Conor Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg) tied for eighth with 78s.
Penn State Behrend's Dante Vetica earned medalist honors with a 74.
Grove City will host Slippery Rock Friday afternoon at Grove City Country Club.
