Grove City wins La Roche Invite; Giesler earns medalist
ALLISON PARK, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team captured the team title at the eight-team La Roche Invitational Tuesday afternoon, held at Wildwood Golf Club. Grove City finished the event with a team score of 328. Westminster took second at 334, followed by La Roche (338).
Junior Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) earned medalist honors by carding a 74. Senior Conor Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg) placed fourth with an 80. Forty-two golfers competed in the event.
Grove City will compete in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships September 30-October 1 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa.
