Wolverines finish fourth at CMU Invitational

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Junior Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) tied for fourth place with a round of 75 as the Grove City College men's golf team finished fourth at the Carnegie Mellon Fall Golf Invitational at the Longue Vue Country Club on Thursday afternoon.

Grove City's five-man squad posted a team score of 344.

Freshman Justin Dent (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) posted an 86 while classmate Austin Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg-Franklin) shot a 91.

Host Carnegie Mellon won the event with a 302 while the Tartans' Ian Bangor earned medalist honors with a 70.

Today's match concludes Grove City's fall season. The Wolverines will begin their spring season on March 21, 2014 at the Capital Invitational.
