Grove City College Men's Golf

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's golf team opened its 2014-15 season Friday and Saturday by placing fourth at the Malone Fall Invitational, held at Tannehauf Golf Course. The Wolverines concluded the two-day event with a team score of 626.

Malone won the event with a 586, followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (598) and Spring Arbor (621). Lake Erie took fifth with a 652.

Senior Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) paced the Wolverines by tying for sixth place with a 36-hole score of 148. Mount Vernon Nazarene's Charlie Phillips earned medalist with a 141.

Grove City will host its annual Fall Invitational Wednesday at Grove City Country Club.
