Wolverines finish fourth at Thiel Invite
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's golf team shot a team score of 331 to finish fourth at the seven-team Thiel College Invitational at the Tam O'Shanter of Pennsylvania Golf Course on Saturday.
Junior Brian Giesler (Harrisville, Pa./Slippery Rock) placed second individually with a 76, finishing just one stroke behind medalist Micah Markatone from Saint Vincent.
Senior Conor Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg) and freshman Austin Eckhardt (Strasburg, Ohio/Strasburg-Franklin) shot identical scores of 82 to finish tied for 15th in the 39-golfer field.
Saint Vincent won the team title with a 307.
Grove City returns to action Monday at the Westminster Invitational.
