Grove City 3rd at Westminster

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Grove City men's golf team made its final preparations for this weekend's Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships by competing in the Westminster Invitational Monday afternoon at New Castle Country Club. Grove City's Crimson team took third with a 327 while the White team placed fourth at 330. Saint Vincent won the team title with a 309.

Sophomore Connor Tipping (Harleysville, Pa./Christopher Dock) and freshman Cole McCook (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown STEM) each tied for eighth overall with rounds of 80. Sophomores Jorden Alfery (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel) and Nate Guiler (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) each tied for 10th with 81s.

Saint Vincent's Jake Reed earned medalist with a 71. Forty-six golfers competed in the event.

Grove City will compete in the conference championships Friday and Saturday at Grove City Country Club.
