GCC tosses second straight shutout

GROVE CITY, PA, October 16, 2000--The Wolverine soccer team extended its winning streak to three Monday, blanking visiting Pitt-Greensburg 1-0.  

Senior Steve Harley (Collegeville, MD/Methacton) netted the game's only goal in the 62nd minute off a pass from junior Jon Veschio (Mercer, PA/Mercer).

Sophomore Brad Smith (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) needed to make just one save to notch his second straight shutout and fifth of the season.

The Wolverines, now 7-6 overall, outshot the Bobcats, 33-4.  Pitt-Greensburg fell to 5-7-2.
