Wolverines and Presidents tie in double OT

WASHINGTON, PA, October 21, 2000--The Grove City College men's soccer team outshot host Washington & Jefferson 38-6 on Saturday, but settled for a 1-1 tie in the Presidents' Athletic Conference match-up.

The Wolverines, unbeaten in their last five, left with an overall record of 8-6-1, 1-2-1 in the PAC.  W&J moved to 5-8-3 overall, 2-0-1 in the league.

Senior Cory Nordman (St. Charles, IL/New Fairfield) accounted for the lone Wolverine goal -- his team-high sixth of the year -- off a pass from junior Geoff Swanson (Burlington, CT/The Master's School) in the 38th minute.

The Presidents evened the score with a goal in the 71st minute.
