Wolverines rally past Behrend 

ERIE, PA, October 3, 2001--Grove City College's men's soccer team erased a 1-0 intermission deficit to defeat host Penn State Behrend Wednesday afternoon, 2-1.

Sophomore Dustin King (Castalia, OH/Margaretta) knotted the game with a goal in the 70th minute. The goal was King's team-high sixth of the season. Senior forward Jon Veschio (Mercer, PA/Mercer) supplied the assist.

Twelve minutes later, a mistake by the Behrend defense resulted in an "own goal," giving Grove City the 2-1 lead.

Junior goalkeeper Brad Smith (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) made six saves in the victory. Behrend out-shot the Wolverines, 12-5.

Grove City improved to 9-2 overall.  Penn State Behrend fell to 7-4.
