Wolverines thump Lake Erie, even record at 1-1 

PAINESVILLE, Ohio --  Led by a goal and two assists from freshman Philip Bresson (Portsmouth, N.H./Portsmouth Christian), the Grove City College men's soccer team improved to 1-1 with a 6-1 win at Lake Erie Wednesday afternoon.

Bresson chalked up Grove City's first goal and later assisted on scores by junior Dustin King (Castalia, Ohio/Margaretta) and Matt Dobson (Northern Ireland/UUC Coleraine). Sophomore Jake Burns (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) scored the Wolverines' second goal of the game after an assist from sophomore Ben Hoffman (Conneaut, Ohio/Conneaut).

In the second half, goals from King, Dobson, Adam Ludwig (Farmington, N.M./Farmington) and Young-Jun Kwak (Seoul, Korea/Tokyo, Japan) sealed the non-conference win. Jon Strand (Indianapolis, Ind./Hamilton South Eastern) and Seth Murray (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) were each credited with assists. 

Goalkeeper Brad Smith (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) made one save in recording the win for Grove City, which outshot the Storm, 16-5.
