Grove City snaps winless streak, blanks Thiel
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Peter Williams (Charlotte, N.C./First Assembly) scored 45 seconds into the second half, lifting the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Thiel Friday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
Goalkeeper Brad Smith (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) stopped two shots for Grove City (2-7-1, 1-3-1 PAC). The Wolverines outshot Thiel, 18-3. The win snaps the Wolverines' eight-game winless streak.
