Wolverines 5-0 in PAC after blanking Thiel, 1-0
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team remained undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 1-0 victory over host Thiel Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
Junior Ben Hoffman (Conneaut, Ohio/Conneaut) broke a scoreless tie in the 52nd minute with an unassisted goal, his first of the season.
In goal, freshman Dave Mantani (Pittsburgh, Pa./Trinity Christian) stopped two shots for his first career victory as well as his first shutout.
Grove City (6-2-1, 5-0 PAC) out-shot Thiel 17-6. The Wolverines visit Penn State Behrend Wednesday at 4 p.m.
