Carnegie Mellon nips Grove City, 1-0
PITTSBURGH -- Host Carnegie Mellon pulled out a 1-0 victory over Grove City at Gesling Stadium Wednesday night in non-conference men's soccer action.
The Tartans took the lead seven minutes into the match, then held on for the win. Carnegie Mellon out-shot Grove City 15-1. Sophomore goalkeeper Joel Gladfelter (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) stopped five shots for the Wolverines (8-6-2).
Grove City returns to action Saturday at home against Thiel at 1 p.m. in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match.
