Grove City plays to scoreless tie at Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Monday afternoon with homestanding Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Waynesburg.

Sophomore goalkeeper Joel Gladfelter (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) stopped three shots to pick up his fourth shutout of the year. Grove City (9-6-3, 6-1-2 PAC) out-shot the Yellow Jackets (6-11-1, 2-6-1) 18-11.

It is Grove City's second scoreless tie of the season. The first came at home against Westminster Oct. 7. The Wolverines will visit La Roche Wednesday, then close the regular season at home Saturday against Washington and Jefferson.

Grove City will clinch home-field advantage throughout the PAC Tournament if it defeats Washington and Jefferson Saturday. The tournament begins with quarterfinal action Nov. 4.
