Hopkins nips Grove City, 1-0
BALTIMORE -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 1-1 on the season with a 1-0 loss at Johns Hopkins University Friday afternoon in the Johns Hopkins Classic.
JHU's Adam Simons scored in the 67th minute, breaking a scoreless tie. Grove City goalkeeper Joel Gladfelter (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) stopped six shots. The Blue Jays out-shot Grove City 18-2.
The Wolverines play Shenandoah Saturday at 4 p.m. in the second day of action at Johns Hopkins.
