Wolverines earn tie at Wash. and Jeff.
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to six matches Saturday afternoon with a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Washington and Jefferson in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
Grove City (9-5-1, 4-2-1 PAC) has recorded four consecutive shutouts and now have eight shutouts on the season. The Wolverines out-shot Washington and Jefferson, 15-12. Junior goalkeeper Joel Gladfelter (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) recorded his seventh shutout of the year, making six saves.
The Wolverines close the regular season with four straight home matches. That streak begins Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Carnegie Mellon.
