Grove City blanks Pitt-Bradford
BRADFORD, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team improved to 3-1-1 Tuesday afternoon with a 1-0 win over host Pitt-Bradford in non-conference action.
Junior Jonathan Mahtani (Elk Grove, Ill./Trinity Christian, Pa.) scored at the 38:47 mark of the first half to account for all of the match's scoring. Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) earned the shutout victory by making three saves.
Grove City out-shot Pitt-Bradford (1-5), 13-6. It is Grove City's third straight shutout. The Wolverines have not allowed a goal in 354 minutes.
Grove City will host Waynesburg in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
