Westminster tops Wolverines
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 4-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Westminster in PAC competition.
Westminster broke a scoreless tie by scoring three second-half goals. Todd Atwood scored goals in the 60th and 62nd minute off corner kicks to give the Titans a 2-0 lead. Matt Kuza closed the match scoring in the 73rd minute.
Goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) stopped nine shots for the Wolverines. Westminster owned a 17-11 edge in shots.
Grove City will host Lake Erie Monday afternoon in non-conference action.
