Grove City plays to 0-0 draw at Thiel
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team is now 9-4-4 overall and 7-1-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference after playing to a 0-0, double-overtime draw at Thiel Monday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. It is Grove City's fifth straight shutout in PAC play and the Wolverines' ninth shutout overall this season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) preserved the shutout with three saves, all in the first half. Grove City out-shot the Tomcats, 17-4. Grove City also had six corner kicks while Thiel had none.
The four draws are the most in any one season for Grove City. The Wolverines will visit Waynesburg Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
