Medaille tops Grove City in opener
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting Medaille scored three second-half goals in a seven-minute span Friday afternoon as the Mavericks earned a 4-0 victory over Grove City in non-conference men's soccer action at College Field.
Medaille took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on an unassisted goal by Cory Cwiklinski. Ryan Mangano then recorded a hat trick in the second half to seal the Medaille win.
Junior goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) made eight saves in goal for Grove City (0-1).
The Wolverines will return to action Saturday afternoon against Pitt-Bradford at 4 p.m.
