Grove City falls to Behrend, 2-0
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 4-3 Wednesday afternoon with a 2-0 loss to Penn State Behrend (1-4-1) in a non-conference match at College Field.
Penn State Behrend scored twice in the first half. Jarrett Carlson scored at 9:13 while Daryl Nowacki added an insurance goal at 39:32. The Lions out-shot Grove City, 12-10.
Junior goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) posted five saves for Grove City.
The Wolverines closed a seven-match homestand Wednesday. Grove City returns to action Sept. 28 at Lake Erie.
