Wolverines earn draw at La Roche
PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's soccer team is 0-1-1 in 2007 after earning a 0-0, double-overtime draw at La Roche Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.
Senior goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) stopped five shots to earn his first shutout of the season. Manahan now has 17 career shutouts, along with three other combined shutouts. It is Grove City's 59th shutout this decade.
Grove City out-shot La Roche (1-1-1), 12-6. Both teams had six corner kicks.
The Wolverines are undefeated in their last 14 matches (5-0-9), dating back to Nov. 6, 2003. Grove City will face Goucher Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. Saturday night, Grove City will face Messiah at 7 p.m. Messiah is the three-time defending NCAA Division III national champion.
