B-W tops Grove City, 2-0

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 2-4-2 overall Friday afternoon with a 2-0 setback against visiting Baldwin-Wallace (4-3-1) in non-conference action at College Field.

Baldwin-Wallace grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Brian Sugerman at 33:16. Rob Young supplied the assist. B-W then doubled the lead in the second half as Cory Kovach scored at 68:33. Tyler Leiser assisted.

In goal, Grove City goalkeeper Michael Manahan (State College, Pa./State College) stopped six shots. Grove City held a 19-17 edge in total shots. Baldwin-Wallace had seven corner kicks, compared to six for Grove City.

Grove City will visit Carnegie Mellon Tuesday night in non-conference action at 7:30 p.m.
