Saints nip Grove City, 1-0
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting Thomas More (10-3, 2-2 PAC) Friday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at College Field. Grove City is now 5-8-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The loss snaps Grove City's four-match win streak.
Thomas More scored the lone goal of the match at 65:00 as Joey Tensing recorded an unassisted goal. Grove City out-shot the Saints, 11-5, but could not score the equalizer.
Junior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) stopped one shot for the Wolverines. Matt Koopman stopped four shots to earn the shutout for Thomas More. It is Thomas More's first win at College Field.
Grove City will host Messiah Tuesday at 3 p.m.
