Grove City earns tie at W&J

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team is now 3-1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference after battling host Washington & Jefferson to a 0-0, double-overtime draw Saturday afternoon in a conference match at Alexandre Stadium. The draw gives Grove City one of the four berths in the season-ending PAC Championship Tournament.

Junior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) secured Grove City's fifth shutout of the season by making seven saves. W&J (6-6-4, 2-1-1) owned a 16-7 edge in shots, including a 5-1 advantage in overtime. Grove City had nine corner kicks while W&J had seven.

Grove City is now 7-2-16 in its last 25 overtime matches, dating back to 2003.

Grove City (5-9-3) will visit Westminster Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in PAC action.
