B-W tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped to 2-3-1 overall Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 setback against visiting Baldwin-Wallace in non-conference action at College Field.
Sophomore forward Mack Lloyd (Philadelphia, Pa./Phil-Mont Christian) scored the Wolverine goal at the 76:55 mark. Lloyd collected a loose ball in front of the net and booted it into the net for his first collegiate goal.
Baldwin-Wallace (2-5) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half. Carlin Vandendriessche scored goals at 17:35 and 26:19. Thomas Kramer extended the lead to 3-0 at 34:01 and Noah Eubanks scored B-W's fourth goal at 44:56. Pat Brennan assisted on the final three B-W goals.
Baldwin-Wallace owned a 20-10 edge in shots. The Yellow Jackets also had six corner kicks while Grove City had four.
Senior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) stopped nine shots for Grove City.
The Wolverines will visit Heidelberg Wednesday at 6 p.m. Six of Grove City's next seven matches are on the road.
