Wolverines blank Bethany

BETHANY, W. Va. -- Freshman Andrew Quinn (Damascus, Md./Damascus) scored the first two goals of his collegiate career Wednesday night to help vault the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Bethany at Bison Stadium.

Quinn broke a scoreless tie at the 7:31 mark with an unassisted goal, his first of the season. He then scored an insurance goal -- also unassisted -- at 87:16 to help seal the win.

Grove City (5-7-1, 2-1 PAC) owned a 27-3 edge in shots. The Wolverines also had 11 corner kicks, compared to just one for Bethany (1-13, 0-2). Senior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) made one save to preserve Grove City's sixth shutout of the season.

Grove City is 2-0-1 in its last three trips to Bethany. The Wolverines won last year's meeting in Grove City 2-0.

Grove City will host Waynesburg Saturday at 12 p.m. in PAC action.
