Grove City edges Waynesburg
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team improved to 3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by earning a 1-0 home win over conference foe Waynesburg at College Field Saturday afternoon.
Grove City (6-7-1) broke a scoreless tie at 30:39 as freshman Andrew Quinn (Damascus, Md./Damascus) scored his third goal of the season. Junior Chuck Witt (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) assisted Quinn's eventual game-winner.
The Wolverines owned a 17-2 edge in shots and a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Senior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) stopped two shots to record his seventh shutout of the season. Osborne leads the conference with seven shutouts.
Grove City has won three straight conference matches. The Wolverines will host Saint Vincent Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m.
