Thomas More nips Grove City
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 3-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 setback against host Thomas More at Bank of Kentucky Field. The loss snaps Grove City's three-match win streak.
Thomas More (14-2, 5-0) took its 1-0 lead just 1:56 into the match on a goal from Aaron Osborne, who recorded his 19th goal of the season.
Thomas More owned a 12-6 edge in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. For Grove City (7-8-1 PAC), senior goalkeeper Sean Osborne (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) stopped one shot.
Grove City will host Fredonia State Wednesday at 3 p.m. in non-conference action. The Wolverines will close the regular season next Saturday at rival Westminster in PAC action.
