Wolverines drop home opener
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped to 1-1-1 overall Wednesday afternoon as visiting Heidelberg (2-1) pulled out a 1-0 victory over the Wolverines in non-conference action at College Field.
Heidelberg broke a scoreless tie at the 52:34 mark on a goal from Matt Paquette. Michael Juart supplied the assist.
In goal, freshman Chris Burgan (North Huntingdon, Pa./Trinity Christian) recorded three saves for Grove City. Heidelberg goalkeeper Mike Kenny also made three saves.
Heidelberg owned a 6-5 edge in shots. Grove City had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Grove City will host Hilbert Saturday at 1 p.m. in non-conference action.
