After trailing at halftime, Grove City pulled into a 1-1 deadlock at 48:05 when senior forward Jake Kern (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield) scored an unassisted goal. Both Kern brothers have two goals apiece in 2010.

Mount Union (5-3-1) took a 1-0 lead just 2:38 into the match when Jared Thacker scored. However, the Wolverines blanked the Purple Raiders for the final 87 minutes, 22 seconds of the match.

Freshman goalkeeper Chris Burgan (North Huntingdon, Pa./Trinity Christian) made two saves for Grove City. Mount Union out-shot the Wolverines 12-9. Mount Union also had a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

It is Grove City's second come-from-behind win on the road this week as the Wolverines also rallied for a 2-1 win at Baldwin-Wallace Saturday night. Josh Kern also scored the game-winner at B-W.

Grove City will host perennial power Carnegie Mellon Saturday at 2 p.m. at College Field.
