B-W tops Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped to 3-3 overall Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 setback against visiting Baldwin-Wallace (6-1) in non-conference action at College Field.

Baldwin-Wallace took a 1-0 lead at 12:23 when a Wolverine defender deflected a cross into the net, breaking the scoreless tie.

The Yellow Jackets doubled the lead at 37:25 on a Thomas Kramer goal. B-W then closed the scoring at 50:29 with an unassisted goal by Pete Childerson.

Grove City owned a 12-9 edge in shots, including a 9-2 margin in the second half. Grove City also held an 11-5 edge in corner kicks.

In goal, junior Caleb Koch (Gaithersburg, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) stopped three shots.

Grove City will host Mount Union Tuesday at 4 p.m. in non-conference play.
