Grove City falls to 6-4
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team fell to 6-4 overall and 1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday with a 3-1 setback at Thomas More (8-3-1, 2-0 PAC) at Bank of Kentucky Field.
Grove City slashed the Saints' lead to 3-1 at 86:50 on an unassisted goal by senior Adam Brewer (Beaver, Pa./Beaver).
Thomas More took a 1-0 lead at 26:30 on a goal by Alex Robbins. The lead grew to 2-0 10 seconds into the second half when Alex Oeswein scored an unassisted goal.
The Saints closed their scoring at 56:22 on a goal from Andrew Sullivan. Oeswein assisted on both Robbins' and Sullivan's goals.
Junior goalkeeper Caleb Koch (Gaithersburg, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) stopped four shots for the Wolverines. Thomas More had a 20-15 edge in shots while Grove City owned an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Grove City will visit Waynesburg Friday night at 6:30 in conference action.
