Grove City earns draw

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team moved to 10-4-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday with a 1-1 double-overtime draw against conference archrival Geneva at College Field.

Grove City grabbed a 1-0 lead at 26:17 when junior forward Andrew Quinn (Damascus, Md./Damascus) scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season. Freshman Jordan Carmichael (Hewitt, N.J./West Milford) assisted Carmichael's goal.

Geneva (11-4-2, 5-1-1 PAC) tied the match at 63:40 on a penalty kick goal from Jake McCracken.

Junior goalkeeper Caleb Koch (Gaithersburg, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) recorded five saves for the Wolverines. Koch had held opponents scoreless for 412 minutes, 11 seconds before McCracken scored.

Geneva outshot Grove City 14-5. Geneva had 10 corner kicks while the Wolverines had three.

Quinn has now scored in four consecutive matches for Grove City. The Wolverines wrap up the home schedule Wednesday at 3 p.m. against visiting Saint Vincent in conference action.
