Lebanon Valley clips Grove City
ANNVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Lebanon Valley (2-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Andrew Cooper scored an unassisted goal at 8:39. The Dutchmen doubled the lead 2:22 into the second half when Cam Alexander scored his first goal of the season.
Lebanon Valley owned a 15-10 edge in shots along with a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. For Grove City, freshman goalkeeper Ben Weaver (York, Pa./Dallastown) stopped six shots.
Grove City will host Allegheny Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Wolverines' 2012 home opener at College Field.
