Thomas More slips past Grove City in OT
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime decision to visiting Thomas More (7-2-3, 2-0) Wednesday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at College Field.
Thomas More's Brad Baumer scored 4 minutes, 44 seconds into overtime, breaking a scoreless tie.
Thomas More owned a 13-8 edge in shots, including a 9-4 advantage during the second half and overtime. Grove City (4-7, 1-1 PAC) had nine corner kicks and Thomas More recorded seven corners.
In goal, freshman Ben Weaver (York, Pa./Dallastown) stopped four shots for Grove City.
The Wolverines will host Waynesburg Saturday at 1 p.m. in conference action at College Field.
