Wolverines earn draw

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team moved to 3-2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon with a 0-0, double-overtime draw at conference foe Geneva.

Grove City (6-9-1 overall) outshot Geneva (8-5-3, 4-1-2) 16-10 for the match, including a 3-1 edge in the two overtime periods. The Wolverines also had a 9-7 advantage in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Brenden Alfery (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) stopped four shots for the Wolverines, securing Grove City's sixth shutout of 2012.

The Wolverines will visit Saint Vincent Wednesday at 4 p.m. in conference action.
