Wolverines earn draw
FROSTBURG, Md. -- The Grove City College men's soccer team earned a 0-0 double-overtime draw against Buffalo State (1-0-1) Saturday afternoon at Frostburg State University.
Grove City (0-1-1) outshot Buffalo State 14-11 and owned a 12-3 edge in corner kicks. Grove City held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks during the two overtime periods.
In goal, sophomore Ben Weaver (York, Pa./Dallastown) stopped three shots in recording the shutout.
Friday night, Grove City dropped a 1-0 double-overtime decision at Frostburg State. It is the first time under eighth-year head coach Mike Dreves that the Wolverines have opened a season with consecutive overtime matches.
Grove City hosts Allegheny Wednesday at 4 p.m. in non-conference action.
