Grove City 2, La Roche 1


October 14, 1998--Senior Milad Hadziabdic (Sarajevo, Bosnia) broke a 1-1 tie with his second goal of the season, lifting the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over visiting La Roche College on Wednesday afternoon.

Hadziabdic netted the game winner six minutes into the second half off a pass from senior Greg Lucht (Erie, PA/Fairview).

Lucht, this week's Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week, also had a hand in the Wolverines' first goal, assisting junior Adam Seybold (Grove City, PA/Grove City), who recorded his second goal of the year in the ninth minute.  La Roche tied the game 15 minutes before halftime.

Wolverine freshman goalkeeper Mario Ambrosia (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon Catholic) was credited with three saves.

Grove City improved to two games over .500 for the first time this year at 8-6-0, while La Roche fell to 3-9-0.  The Wolverines host Alfred University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
